Cash desk

What crosses the counter, down to the evening count

A dealership takes cash all day — parts, workshop, deposits. Between the invoice and the ledger, the till was missing.

The count gets no help

The expected figure is deliberately not pre-filled: a count typed to match the system is not a count.

Cash, card, cheque

Only cash reaches the drawer. Card and cheque count towards the day's takings and settle straight to the bank.

Nothing after the close

A counted session is closed: nothing more is written to it. That is precisely what a cash control exists to prevent.
